Managing for Results

Key Performance Indicators

The Council of the Great City School's "Managing for Results Project" is designed to develop measures in financial and operational areas that can be compared “apples-to-apples” across the country; benchmark district performance in these areas to see how districts compare to each other; and inventory effective management practices used by top performers so others can use them when applicable and viable to do so. The Council believes that there are significant potential benefits to its members and other large school districts if standards for management and financial performance were developed and recognized.
